Dr. Chen Yang, Professor of the School of Engineering, University of Science and Technology of China, doctoral supervisor. He obtained his bachelor's and doctor’s degrees from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2010 and 2016. After that, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Missouri University of Science and Technology and the National University of Singapore, respectively. In September 2021, Dr. Chen Yang joined joined the Micro Nano Engineering Laboratory, School of Engineering Science, University of Science and Technology of China and formed a research group of Nanophotonic Devices and Systems. The main research directions include: micro-nanophotonics, metasurfaces and metamaterials, chiral photonics, micro-nano opto-electrical devices, etc. In recent years he continuously published papers in authority journals such as Nature, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Materials, and Physical Review Letters as the first author, and received widespread attention at domestic and foreign media such as Science and Technology Daily, China Science Daily and Phys.org. At the same time, Dr. Chen Yang selected in the National Overseas High-level Talents Introduction Program (Youth Program), and selected in the Chinese Academy of Sciences High-level Talents Introduction Program (Youth Program), and MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 Asia Pacific (MIT TR 35). He has also awarded the Outstanding Research President Award by the University of Science and the PhotoniX Prize by the Chinese Society for Optical Engineering, and has served as a young editorial board member of Photonics Research.

The research group is in a period of rapid development, with sufficient funds, a strong scientific research atmosphere, and a lot of opportunities.
